Whenever a package or box comes into the Credit Union, please make sure it is delivered to the person listed on the box. If you are not sure who it should go to, please go to a member of management and see who it should be delivered to. Recently we have had orders that have been signed for but the area that should have received the items have not received them.
We have just added a new fee to our Fee Policy. It is letter GG: Visa/Mastercard cash advance for non-members. The fee is $5.00.

Effective May 22, 2012 Credit Union Card Center has issued a new debit card rule:
This new rule will monitor account activity and if 3 transactions are equal to or greater than $50 at the same merchant are authorized in 15 minutes, a case will be created to contact the cardholder to verify the activity. If the fraud department is unable to reach the member, a warm status will be placed and will remain on the account until the cardholder confirms the activity as valid or fraud. NEW PROCEDURE

Tellers: So that you are prepared to file CTR's and SAR's. Go to fincen website and click login on the left. Put in your user name and request a password. Your password will come in your email.
Please be very careful putting in a new password. Read and follow directions very carefully!!!
When you have completed your CTR or SAR, save it in Ndrive/CTR SAR folder.
You should then send me an email and let me know your CTR or SAR is there so that I can review it and send it to Fincen.

BEWARE::::::
Anytime a member has to send money to someone for receiving a check in the mail, for a sweepstakes, for selling something over the internet, etc. it is more than likely a scam. If it sounds to good to be true, it is probably a scam. It seems that some of these scams are now providing phone numbers on the checks to call and verify that the funds are good. BEWARE, make sure you call the BANK that the check is drawn on. Not an individual's name from the check.
OFAC UPDATE!!!! DONT FORGET, IF A MEMBER COMES IN AND REQUESTS A CASHIER CHECK MADE PAYABLE TO A NON-MEMBER, YOU MUST RUN AN OFAC ON THAT NON-MEMBER.
FYI-DONT FORGET THAT WHEN YOU DO AN ADDRESS CHANGE, PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE THAT HAS OVERRIDE AUTHORITY VERIFY IT!!!!

We have received numerous fraudulent money orders. Please call the money order verification system to verify a postal money order: 1-866-459-7822.
To verify Money gram money orders from Wal mart call 1-800-926-9400.
If you can not verify, put a hold on it or see your Supervisor.
Also, be aware, checks over $1500.00 must be verified or you must put on the appropriate holds!!!!!!
